Going Dutch*

This post comes a bit late, but better late than never!

The Dutch Wooden Shoe Cafe

Mmm…Pannekoek.

As part or our bi-monthly restaurant trips, we decided to go for brunch at The Dutch Wooden Shoe Cafe. As you can image, we had….. Dutch food. And what is a typical Dutch brunch? Mainly Pannekoek. These huge pancakes (about 30 cm diameters) are simply delicious. And the list of items on the menu is just huge. It took some of us more than 20 minutes to go through it and decide what we wanted.

We also had a record in terms of participation: 10 of us joined for this trip. And the place is rather small so it was pretty cozy!

That’s all for today, but stay tuned for the next trips.

*To go Dutch: (idiomatic) To pay for one’s own food and bills, or split the cost, when eating at a restaurant or going out for entertainment.
